Missions & Outreach

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Life Groups

Life Groups are meant to encourage and strengthen one another. They are a great place to connect with and fellowship with other believers, and a wonderful evangelism tool that offers something outside the regular church service that may initially be less intimidating to those interested in finding out more about Jesus.

We have Life Groups that meet weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly sharing food, fellowship, Bible study, and prayer… sharing Life.

If you are interested in joining a Life Group, contact one of our staff and let them know you’re interested.

D-Groups

D-Groups are small, gender-specific, groups of believers who meet together weekly, committed to helping one another grow in love for God and in obedience to God as disciple makers. D-Groups from through pre-existing, meaningful relationships with other believers. If you have a few friends you would like to start a D-Group with, talk with our staff, or with your Life Group leader, and we will help you get started.

Legacy Mission Village

Our relationship with Legacy Mission Village began a few years ago when Trek-X introduced us to a group of refugees from 15 different war-torn countries.  Kids that had to escape their homelands and found their way to the US.  After the most horrible of beginnings, these kids were worshiping Christ with hearts full of praise.  Students partnered with Trek-X are doing an incredible job of taking the gospel to the refugee population while going to college and preparing for a future in international missions.
Through Trek-X, we met William and Ebralie Mwizerwa, one of the families pictured in the movie “Beautifully Broken“.  Please take the time to watch this hope-filled, inspiring account of God’s miracles during the Rwandan Genocide.
From those miracles, Legacy Mission Village was started in Nashville, TN.  Now Legacy Mission Village helps refugees and new arrivals learn to cope with life in a country where they don’t know the language, culture, laws, or anything; not even how to mail a letter, or fill out a job application.
Recently a group of refugees from seven different countries came to our church, and each of them said that if it weren’t for Legacy Mission Village they could not have made it.  Please follow the link to learn more about them.  Don’t miss Rita’s story!

Oasis International Ministries

In June of 2019, a group from NCFBC went to St. Louis, MO with Trek-X.  Trek-X, in itself, is a wonderful ministry connecting college kids with international mission opportunities. It was Trek-X that introduced us to Oasis International Ministries
.  This ministry let us be a part of ministering to refugees from around the world in the St. Louis area.  They are incredible, and our mission trip to St. Louis was incredible because of these two ministries.
I highly encourage you to check out their websites.  We will work with both groups again, and believe you will be thrilled for an opportunity to work with them, too.  We took a group of about 14 youth and young adults to St. Louis.  We will never be the same.  A great mission trip!
